Coping with shingles

  2. Simple measures like acetaminophen and cold compresses are often sufficient to relieve symptoms in the short term
  3. The contagiousness of shingles is quite low
  4. It might be necessary to miss work or school for several days, but long absences are unusual
  5. Rest and relaxation can help
