The CSPA wins a Public Education Award from the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA). Read more at the CDA site.

This summer, the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance is encouraging Canadians to take notice of a potentially serious skin condition few know about called actinic keratosis (AK). AK is the most common form of precancerous skin lesions, but unfortunately awareness is low.

The CSPA has been chosen by the Canadian Dermatology Association membership and awards committee as the recipient of the CDA 2011 Public Education Award. In Edmonton on Saturday, June 25th, the CSPA team accepted the award at the 2011 CDA annual conference.

The tool is designed to help Canadians identify whether they need to see a dermatologist to discuss their skin disease, new treatments and ways they might improve their condition.
